esna (Ilić) Kopitović was born on March 21, 1966 in Novi Sad, father Lazar and mother Vera. Finished elementary and high school in Novi Sad with honors.
School of Medicine, enrolled in 1984 in Novi Sad, to October 1989, she graduated on time and before the expiration of final exams, with an average score of 9.73. During the study she is actively engaged in scientific research, and as a student was the author of several student papers that were presented in the country and abroad. For the success achieved during the second, third and fourth year of studies received the scholarship from the University of Novi Sad, which is granted to the best-student of the University. Postgraduate Studies started in 1989, immediately after graduation, the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad, Department of Neuroendocrinology, she listened for a period of two years and successfully passed all the exams from the program.
She was admitted on a permanent basis in 1989 to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as an assistant in scientific research. Master's thesis reported in 1990 in the field of infertility and assisted reproduction under the heading: '' Comparative prolactin and estradiol levels in serum and follicular fluid of ovarian stimulated cycles of women in the program of artificial insemination '. Master's thesis defended in April 1994. Specialization in gynecology and obstetrics began in January 1990. a specialist exam passed with honors in December 1995. She was elected assistant-trainee for the scientific field of gynecology and obstetrics in September 1994 to the same year was actively involved in the teaching of the Clinic for Gynaecology and Obstetrics, and teaching assistant was elected in October 1998.
Also included in the teaching of medical students in the English language since 1998. Doctoral thesis in the field of infertility, entitled 'Hormonal tests and ovarian blood flow in the assessment of ovarian reserve in infertile patients'', defended in December 2003. She is actively involved in professional and scientific work of the Clinic for Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the Clinical Center of Vojvodina. At the Clinic for Gynaecology and Obstetrics of 1998 was allocated to the Department of Human Reproduction, Department of marital sterility, and in 1999 became head of the department for artificial insemination, and in 2003 Head of marital sterility where he now works. Since 2006, she became the manager of the Institute of Human Reproduction. At this spot begins with a series of new methods and procedures in the treatment of marital infertility that aim to simplify and accelerate their former diagnostic treatment, and some of which are: operational hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, transvaginal method "termochoice" day of diagnosis, new technologies in laboratories in vitro fertilization such as vitrification of gametes and embryos, pre-implantation genetic diagnostics, as well as a number of other methods. Introduced the so-called. one day in sterility diagnostics, where the couple on the basis of several tests that do a morning, proper diagnosis of marital infertility and thereby give guidance to the right path of treatment. She finished the official courses of the European Academy of Gynaecological Endoscopy based in Leuven, Belgium entitled "Train the trainers" and thus enabled the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Novi Sad becomes an official European educational center verified by the European Academy of gynecologic endoscopy and Prof . Vesna Kopitović became European mentor and coach at the European Academy of Gynaecological Endoscopy. Through more than 50 practical and theoretical seminars, workshops, symposia and conferences, accredited by the Medical Faculty in Novi Sad and the Health Council of RS, participated and organized training and practical training especially in the field of fertility and sterility, endoscopy and techniques of assisted reproduction through that has passed more than 500 medical specialists in gynecology and obstetrics in different cities and health of institutions of our country. She has been invited lecturer in more than 40 different sets across the country. As subspecialists fertility and sterility head of the lessons from the sub-specializations fertility and sterility of the school in 2009, and Head of doctoral studies elective course conjugal infertility since 2010. The head of the master academic studies reproductive biologist - embryologist since 2013. A member of numerous professional organizations in the field of gynecology and obstetrics in the country and abroad, is a member of the Republican Commission for biomedical assisted fertilization of the Ministry of Health.
She has authored or co-authored more than 150 scientific papers in the field of gynecology and obstetrics, which was presented at numerous conferences in the country and abroad, then the editor of several monographs, textbooks and publications. Until now, she was a participant in several major research projects both domestic and foreign. Within the National Programme for artificial insemination funded by the NHIF and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia, the holder of the program and the head of the team for in vitro fertilization at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which is recorded the first successful birth of twins in this program date 07.06.2007. year. Novi Sad team for in vitro fertilization is responsible for the birth of over 3,000 babies, the product quality and hard work of this team.
